General Advice
Look through some of the wordings that we have used and feel free to use any of them you choose.
Please remember that it’s your stationery for your wedding, so you can mix, match, and eventually have whatever wording you want to have.
Everybody gets hung up on what you can and can’t have and advice usually come from all directions leaving you in a muddle. A good way to decide is read it as if you have just received it as an invitation from a friend or relative and if it would offend you, don’t use it, but if it doesn’t offend and you like it, then you have your wording.
RSVP The RSVP can also have a time shown to reply by and is usually printed on the left hand side page on our invitation inserts. It is now normal to request that the guest replies in writing, by RSVP card, by telephone, text or even e-mail.
Dress Code On the Evening Invitations it is acceptable to indicate the dress code for the event ie: Black Tie, Casual but smart, etc
Gift List Details of your gift list can also be included on the left hand page of your invitation at no extra cost.
Bilingual Wording We will happily print your wording in other languages providing we receive the copy in good time. If the text is supplied in printed hard copy format there will be an additional charge depending on the amount of input required, although we would discuss this with you before hand. (Expect to pay £20 per hour typesetting charges) If the text is supplied in e-mail format there is a standard charge of £10
Directions You can include directions and even a map to the venue on the left hand page or on a separate enclosure A typesetting charge could apply depending on the amount of input required although we would discuss this with you before hand.

Order of Service
Order of Service is usually very straight forward and is comprised of the following suggested sections
Page 1 Name of Church The Marriage of Bride and Groom Date Name of Minister (optional) Small List of participants (optional) Page 2 Entrance music Hymn 1 Marriage Ceremony Page 3 Hymn 2 Blessings or readings Hymn 3 if required Recessional music
Order of the Day More and more popular now, although a lot more thought has to be put in before it goes to print, due to the amount of information it contains. The idea is that it is a complete guide to the day and gives those waiting in the church something to read while the bride is fashionably late.
Possible inclusions
Page 1 Details of how the bride and groom met
Page 2 List of participants
Pages The complete Order of Service 3,4&5 as shown above
Page 6 Details of photographs after the ceremony Map/directions to the reception venue Details of drinks etc awaiting the guests Menu

Wedding Mass Books If you need Wedding Mass Books, please click on www.DumDumDeDum.co.uk/mb for an order form and details of all our available readings (169 pages)
We hope we have included everything you need to know about our stationery wordings, but remember that it is only a guide. You can have whatever you want
Don’t forget that we supply completely typeset finished proofs at no extra cost BEFORE we print a thing. |
